Oh, Supreme Goddess of the Vrndavana forest! Your lotus feet are brimming full of flowing rasa extract, the essential honey of full-blown love nectars. Holding such feet to His chest, Madhupati (Krsna), the Lord of all sweetness, extinguishes the burning fever of Cupid. So supremely cooling, I now take shelter of them.
That which is present deep within the heart of all the Upanisads in the most well hidden secret; this pair of Sri Radha’s divine lotus feet is my refuge – simply full of Her own feminine dancing playfulness.” (zie bijlage)

Update
Harinam
We have just found out that the Dutch national TV station BNN are coming to film the harinam tomorrow evening with HH Trivikrama Swami; this is such a great opportunity to take his association (and become a TV star at the same time…hahahaa). No, but on a serious note, there has already been feedback that devotees from all over the Netherlands will be participating – so don’t miss out!
HH Trivikrama Swami has come especially to go on Harinam Sankirtan this coming Thursday evening, 22-7-10 from 18.00 to 20.00 hrs. As mentioned in our email yesterday, he is Dhananjaya’s old friend & dear godbrother and, they’ve known each other since 1969. It would be a great benefit for all devotees & congregational members to take his association while he is here. He will also give Srimad Bhagavatam class at 7.30H & Bhagavad Gita class at 18.30H - both classes will be given on Friday 23-7-2010 in the temple room.
Schedule – HH Trivikrama Swami:
Please note! For the classes, it is essential to arrive on time or a little earlier, so that Maharaj will not be disturbed whilst giving class.
Not to forget the harinam from two weeks back with H.H. Janananda Gosvami; there are great photos up on the website, just click the following link to see them: http://www.amsterdhama.nl/fotos

continued from above…attractive, smart & colourful.
The Ratha Yatra this year will be a truly incredible parade/carnival procession with floats, colourful & attractive costumes, dancers, Kirtan bands etc. We will create a visual and musical spectacle that will be attractive and interesting for their Lordships Jagannath, Baladeva and Subhadra, as well as catching the attention of Amsterdam’s public as we sing & dance through the city centre. Therefore, the parade will be led by a wonderfully decorated “Music” float (a van with a 6m long, 2m wide trailer). The Kirtan band on the trailer will have very powerful amplification for their music.
Directly behind the float will be the remaining Kirtan group and dancers, with the musicians organized in groups. The Giri Prabhus Festival crew (UK) has already confirmed leading the Kirtan but so also have many gurukuli kirtaneers from all around Europe. Following this group will be a special costume parade area; expect quite a few of these groups to create a type of carnival procession through Amsterdam. Behind this will be the main crowd followed by the Rath cart itself with Their Lordships.
Upon arrival at Dam Square at about 3pm, the Kirtaneers will all merge together to form a mega-kirtan with about 40 musicians and singers. The Kirtan and procession will be sectioned off with tents around the outside for information, prasadam, books/gifts and somewhere to sit and the rest of the public as onlookers. There won’t be all-day entertainment as in previous years but there WILL be this amazing parade/carnival procession.
Parade: 12:00 – 15:00 hrs
Kirtan (Dam Square): 15:00 – 17:00 hrs.
Prasadam (Dam Square): 15:00 – 18:00 hrs
Expect more information this week via email regarding the Ratha Yatra service positions, volunteer work and other details.
